  • 1 cup blanched almond flour
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup salted butter (softened)
  • 1½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • ¼ cup sliced almonds
  • Powdered sugar (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, brown sugar, softened butter, all-purpose flour, egg, almond extract, and a pinch of salt until combined.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry into an 11×11 square and cut into twenty-four 2×2 inch squares.
  4. Press each square into a mini muffin pan and fill with about one tablespoon of the almond mixture. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top.
  5. Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.
