  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 cups minute rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cooked turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef and diced onions until there’s no pink remaining. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Drain excess grease.
  2. Mix in tomato sauce, ketchup, mustard, minute rice, and beef broth. Stir well and simmer for about 2-3 minutes until most broth is absorbed.
  3. Stir in half the cheese and half the bacon until melted and combined.
  4. Top with the remaining cheese and bacon, cover to steam until the cheese melts completely.
