  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (to taste)
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 avocado, sliced

Instructions

  1. Soak the shrimp in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat the shrimp: Remove from buttermilk, dredge in seasoned flour, dip back in buttermilk, then coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry shrimp until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes per side). Drain on paper towels.
  5. Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha for the bang bang sauce.
