  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (non-alcoholic)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 8 slices crispy Turkey Bacon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 16-20 meatballs.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
  5. Add BBQ sauce to the skillet and let simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Toast sub rolls in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden.
  7. Assemble by placing meatballs in rolls and topping with cheddar cheese and turkey bacon.
  8. Return to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Serve immediately with extra sauce on the side.
