Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent (4-5 minutes). Stir in minced garlic for another minute.
Add ground turkey; break it apart while cooking until browned (7-10 minutes). Drain excess fat if necessary.
Stir in bell peppers and spices (smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, red pepper flakes); season with salt and pepper. Cook until peppers soften (5-7 minutes).
Mix in diced tomatoes and chicken broth; bring to a simmer and cover for 10-15 minutes.
