  • 3 cups freshly shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted) for topping
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients without over-mixing.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown.
  5. While baking, prepare the topping by mixing melted butter with parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
