  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • For the Cinnamon Swirl: 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar for the swirl mixture.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cream softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil until smooth.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Layer half the batter in the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mix on top, add remaining batter, then top with the rest of the sugar mix. Gently swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before slicing.
