  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup light brown sugar (lightly packed)
  • 1 cup butter (divided)
  • 24 ounces fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • Zest of 2 oranges + juice from one orange
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine cranberries, orange zest, orange juice, granulated sugar, salt, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and chopped pecans. Cut in half the butter until crumbly.
  4. Spread the cranberry mixture in a greased baking dish and top with the flour mixture.
  5. Dot the remaining butter on top of the crisp.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
