  • Salt & pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chicken by cutting the breasts in half lengthwise and seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt olive oil and butter. Sear the chicken for about 5-6 minutes per side until cooked through.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and cover loosely with foil.
  4. In the same skillet, add flour and minced garlic; cook for about a minute.
  5. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, allowing it to reduce by half.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and let simmer until thickened; then mix in parmesan cheese until melted.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it before serving.
