  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry (thawed)
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 12 slices deli-style chicken (approximately 10 oz)
  • 2 cups grated Gruyère or sharp cheddar cheese (about 5 oz)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Roll out one sheet of puff pastry into a rectangle (about 10×12 inches).
  2. Spread 1 ½ tablespoons of Dijon mustard on the pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
  3. Layer 6 slices of chicken and sprinkle 1 cup of cheese over it.
  4. Tightly roll the pastry from one long edge into a log shape and refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  5. Repeat with the second sheet of pastry.
  6. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  7. Slice each log into half-inch pieces and place them cut-side up on baking sheets.
  8. Bake for about 18 minutes until golden brown, then garnish with chopped parsley.
