  • 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ chicken bouillon cube
  • ½ teaspoon EACH: onion powder, oregano, basil, parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 teaspoons parsley
  • 12 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce by combining chicken broth, heavy cream, mustard powder, honey, minced garlic, and herbs in a measuring cup.
  2. Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise and pound to ½ inch thick. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
  3. In a skillet over medium-high heat, sear the chicken with olive oil for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
  4. Add butter and flour to the skillet; cook for 1-2 minutes before gradually adding the prepared sauce mixture.
  5. Simmer until thickened (about 8 minutes), then stir in grated Parmesan cheese and lemon juice.
  6. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it; heat through for about 5 minutes before serving.
