  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (20 oz) cheese tortellini
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Season steak with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak pieces until browned (2–3 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add minced garlic, and cook for 30 seconds. Stir in flour to create a roux; cook until lightly golden.
  3. Gradually whisk in milk and beef broth until smooth. Add cheddar cheese and stir until melted and creamy.
  4. Cook tortellini according to package directions; drain and toss with olive oil.
  5. Grease a baking dish and combine tortellini, steak, and cheese sauce. Top with mozzarella.
  6. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden. Garnish with parsley before serving.
