  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 110 g honey (1/3 cup)
  • 80 ml chicken stock (1/3 cup)
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp light soy sauce
  • Fresh parsley and chili flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Coat the chicken thighs with cornflour, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over high heat and add the chicken. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  3. Add unsalted butter and minced garlic to the pan, sautéing over medium heat until fragrant.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix honey, chicken stock, rice vinegar, and light soy sauce. Pour over the chicken and simmer for about 4-5 minutes until thickened.
  5. Garnish with chopped parsley and chili flakes before serving over boiled rice.
