  • 4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss sliced apples with half of the granulated sugar; let sit for 10 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix mascarpone, remaining sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl; slowly mix into the wet ingredients.
  5. Grease a round baking pan and layer half the batter followed by the apple slices and then the rest of the batter.
  6. Make the crumble topping by mixing oats, brown sugar, flour, and melted butter until crumbly; sprinkle over the torta.
  7. Bake for 60-75 minutes until golden brown on top and set in the center.
  8. Allow cooling for at least 10 minutes before serving.
