Ingredients

  • Baguette (sliced into 1/2 inch thick rounds)
  • Olive oil
  • Baby Bella Mushrooms (thinly sliced)
  • Garlic cloves (minced)
  • Marsala apple vinegar
  • Brie Cheese (sliced)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Bake for 3-5 minutes until lightly toasted.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, warm olive oil and sauté minced garlic for about one minute. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown for 5-7 minutes. Pour in Marsala apple vinegar and simmer until reduced by half. Season with salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  3. On each toasted baguette slice, place a slice of brie cheese followed by a spoonful of the mushroom mixture.
  4. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until brie is melted.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.
