Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp instant dry yeast
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup crushed Oreos
  • 2 Tbsp black cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 Tbsp whole milk
  • 1 tsp artificial vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk until lukewarm and mix it with sugar and yeast. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, brown sugar, cocoa powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Combine the yeast mixture with an egg and softened butter, then gradually add to the dry ingredients to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter over it, and sprinkle crushed Oreos evenly.
  6. Roll tightly into a log shape, slice into equal pieces (about 9), and place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for approximately 26 minutes until golden brown.
  8. While baking, whisk together powdered sugar with milk and vanilla extract for the glaze.
  9. Drizzle glaze over warm rolls before serving.
