  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked al dente
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meat sauce by browning ground beef with diced onion and minced garlic in a skillet. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Make the béchamel sauce by melting butter in a saucepan, whisking in flour, then gradually adding milk until thickened. Stir in Parmesan and garlic powder.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a baking dish, layer meat sauce, lasagna noodles, béchamel, mozzarella, and cheddar. Repeat layers.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
