  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, beat together peanut butter, softened butter, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually incorporate into the peanut butter mixture.
  4. For the brownie dough, whisk melted butter and white sugar until smooth; stir in cocoa powder. Add egg and vanilla, then fold in flour, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips.
  5. Chill both doughs for about 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of each dough next to each other on the baking sheet; swirl together gently with a toothpick.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes until edges are set but centers remain soft. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
