Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9×9-inch pan or cast-iron skillet.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix pumpkin puree, brown sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, and milk until smooth.
  4. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients gently until just mixed.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. While baking, mix softened butter with honey and cinnamon for the topping.
