  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups peeled and thinly sliced apples
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  3. Stir in all-purpose flour until crumbly. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of a prepared baking pan.
  4. Toss sliced apples with cinnamon and nutmeg; layer over the crust.
  5. Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the apple layer.
  6. Crumble the remaining mixture on top of the caramel.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
