  • 10 ounces vegan marshmallows
  • 5 cups Rice Krispie cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 10 ounces caramels or caramel bites
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 5 tablespoons butter (for caramel)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Sea salt (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Butter a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. In a saucepan, melt 5 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add vegan marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth. Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract.
  3. In another saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, an additional 5 tablespoons of butter, and unwrapped caramels. Melt while stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour the melted marshmallow mixture into the prepared dish and evenly spread it out. Pour the caramel layer on top and sprinkle generously with sea salt. Allow to cool for about 15 minutes.
  5. For the chocolate drizzle, heat heavy cream until bubbling, then pour over milk chocolate chips in a bowl. Stir until melted and smooth; drizzle over cooled caramel layer.
  6. Finish with a sprinkle of sea salt on top before cutting into squares and serving.
