  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 1/4 cup Flour
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 2 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the potatoes into even, thin rounds (about 1/8-inch thick).
  3. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and whisk in the flour until smooth. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Gradually add milk while whisking continuously until the sauce thickens. Stir in cheddar cheese, salt, cayenne pepper, and paprika.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer sliced potatoes and pour cheese sauce over each layer.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden.
