  • 1 spice cake mix
  • 3.4 ounces pumpkin spice instant pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips
  • 16 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/3 cup dark cocoa
  • 34 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • black food coloring
  • 2 red hots

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine spice cake mix, pumpkin spice pudding mix, sour cream, eggs, water, and oil. Mix until smooth.
  2. Gently fold in mini chocolate chips.
  3. Pour batter into a greased bundt pan and bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes before removing from the pan.
  4. Refrigerate the cooled cake for 1-2 hours before frosting with cream cheese mixture blended with dark cocoa powder and powdered sugar.
