  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz linguine
  • Salted water, for boiling
  • ¼ cup reserved pasta water
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup chicken broth
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Cook 8 oz linguine in salted boiling water until al dente; reserve some pasta water before draining.
  2. 2. Season 2 cubed chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (if desired), salt, and pepper. Sear in olive oil and butter until golden brown.
  3. 3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic before adding chicken broth, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese. Stir until smooth.
