- 1 package (15.25 ounces) vanilla cake mix
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups Oreo cookie chunks
- 3/4 cup red, white, & blue M&Ms (divided)
- 1/2 cup red, white, & blue sprinkles (divided)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the vanilla cake mix, softened butter, cream cheese, egg, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Gently fold in Oreo cookie chunks along with half of the M&Ms and sprinkles.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 60 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Scoop out even portions of dough onto a cookie sheet and press remaining M&Ms and sprinkles on top.
- Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Allow cookies to cool before serving.
