  • 1 package (15.25 ounces) vanilla cake mix
  • 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups Oreo cookie chunks
  • 3/4 cup red, white, & blue M&Ms (divided)
  • 1/2 cup red, white, & blue sprinkles (divided)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the vanilla cake mix, softened butter, cream cheese, egg, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
  2. Gently fold in Oreo cookie chunks along with half of the M&Ms and sprinkles.
  3. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 60 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Scoop out even portions of dough onto a cookie sheet and press remaining M&Ms and sprinkles on top.
  6. Bake for approximately 10 minutes or until edges are golden.
  7. Allow cookies to cool before serving.
