Ingredients

Scale
  • 14 oz box white cake mix (plus ingredients per package)
  • Gel food coloring (red and blue)
  • 2 boxes (3.5 oz each) instant cheesecake pudding mix
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 8 oz tub whipped topping
  • Patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the cake mix according to package directions; divide evenly into three bowls. Color two bowls with gel food coloring (one red, one blue), leaving one bowl white.
  3. Spoon the colored batters into the baking dish, keeping them separated on top of the white batter. Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. After cooling for about 10 minutes, poke holes in the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  5. Whisk together milk and pudding mixes until slightly thickened; pour over the cooled cake, ensuring it fills all holes.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 20 minutes before topping with whipped topping and sprinkles.
