  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/4 cups cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups pitted, peeled, and chopped peaches
  • 6 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, preferably dark

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grease a 9×13-inch pan.
  2. In a food processor, combine flour, granulated sugar, and salt; pulse in cold butter until crumbly. Set aside 1½ cups for streusel topping.
  3. Press remaining mixture into the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  4. Mix brown sugar into the reserved crumb mixture for streusel.
  5. In another bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, and salt; add peaches and heavy cream.
  6. Pour peach mixture over the crust and top with streusel.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
  8. Cool completely before slicing.
