  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4 thick slices of French or Italian bread
  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread homemade garlic butter on each slice of bread and arrange on a baking sheet.
  2. Bake the bread for 8-10 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp butter. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Season shrimp with salt and pepper; add to skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
  5. Remove shrimp; add another tbsp of butter and chicken broth to the skillet. Simmer for 1-2 minutes before stirring in lemon juice and red pepper flakes.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet, coating them in the sauce and sprinkle with parsley before serving alongside warm garlic bread.
